Being from a business family background, I always felt of pursuing my career in business management.

My first 2 years of experience after graduation ( was at a Departmental store where I was responsible for optimizing business by setting up processes for buying, operational activities, training sales staff, control inventory, understand consumer demands and take new initiatives like changing the layout of the store and Visual merchandising. This experience helped me nurture my interest in retail and so I went for my post graduation in Retail Management.

Two years in B School helped me further develop my skills. With every week store visits to Big Bazaar, Pantaloons, Food bazaar I got practical exposure to Store operations management and SOP’s. I also undertook summer project with Big Bazaar. I also won awards in various intercollegiate competitions.

Then came along an opportunity to work with a start up firm called During my 4 years of experience, I learnt and took various initiatives of building Institutional Business, developing Vendor Network for categories like apparels, General merchandise and Electronic products. Post this I took up responsibility to develop Future Group’s online electronics store called Here I dealt with the Ezone team, understood the offline electronics business and then replicated the same online to optimise the electronics sales. Working closely with marketing team (BTL, ATL, SEM), Operations & Logistics (warehouse, Order life cycle), Customer service team, Call centre sales team, Technology, Finance and editorial team helped me understand their role better and develop myself further…

After Future Group, got opportunity to work in Tata Croma (winner of numerous retail practises awards) as buyer for Croma Stores. This has helped me understand offline and online retail to a large extent.
