Ana is a marketing and corporate communications professional passionate about transforming the world through movement and sports. She has led marketing strategy and developed marketing and communications plans in multiple industries, including retail, construction, logistics, consulting services, government, and NGOs. With a Harvard Business School Executive Education in B2B Marketing Strategy, she is also a recipient of the “Sustainable Leadership Award” by the Asian Confederation of Businesses.
Originally from Portugal, Ana moved to Dubai in 2005 and immediately fell in love with the city and region. Leading ASICS marketing function for the region allowed her to fuse two of her passions – sports and marketing in her current role. A true believer in the impact sports has on our wellbeing, Ana has launched ASICS running communities throughout the region across UAE, KSA, Qatar, and Kuwait – all with a mission to uplift the society to move for better physical and mental health. She is also a fierce advocate for more women in sports, running not to simply lose weight but for mental health and confidence.
Some of the most notable campaigns Ana has launched include managing AISCS sponsorship activation at World Athletics Championship in Qatar, launching the world’s first virtual Marathon at Home during COVID, and spearheading the development of ASICS Dubai running shoes – the first running shoes ever developed for a city.
